Exhibition about Konso People, Ethiopia

A temporary exhibition known as ‘KONSO, the evolution of a legendary people.’ One may observe the traditions, culture, and lifestyle of the KONSO community, one of the many tribes in southern Ethiopia. This community is experiencing tremendous changes in development partially due to their location which is on the way to the Omo Valley. The progress, new roads,
and tourism industry, are implying a strong impact on the people, but ...also at the risk of a loss of traditions and culture.

The main themes of the exhibition are children, landscapes, roads, markets, lifestyle, as well as one of the nine chiefs of the tribe, including his environment.
The exhibition is constructed by a rigorous selection of 40 photographs, accompanied by a general introduction as well as 5 informative frames, explaining every theme. In addition a roughly 30 minute audiovisual documentary consisting of interviews and lifestyle images is offered.
